Terms of sale

1. Who you are buying from
Paintings from Bali is a gallery based in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, selling original works on behalf of the artists who made them. Contact:hello@paintingsfrombali.com.
2. What you are buying
Every painting listed is a unique physical original. There is exactly one of each. Because the site is served from a cache, it is possible — rarely — for a piece to sell while you are looking at it. If that happens your payment will not be taken, and we will tell you before any money moves.
Colour reproduction varies between screens. We photograph work in daylight without colour correction, but a painting will never look exactly like its photograph.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in US dollars and include the artist's fee and our gallery margin. Shipping is added at checkout and is free on orders of $3,000 or more.
Payment is processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card details. Your order is confirmed only when PayPal reports the payment as captured; until then nothing is reserved.
4. Import duty and tax
Any duty, VAT, GST, customs brokerage or handling charge levied in the destination country is your responsibility and is not included in the checkout price. Shipments are declared at the price actually paid; we do not under-declare value, and we will not mark a sold work as a gift.
5. Delivery
We dispatch within two working days of payment and email you a tracking number. Transit estimates published on the shipping page exclude time spent in customs and are not guaranteed. Risk passes to you on delivery, and every shipment is insured for its full value until then.
6. Returns and refunds
You may return a painting for a full refund of the purchase price if you tell us within 14 days of delivery and return it in its original packaging, undamaged. Return shipping is at your cost unless the work arrived damaged or was materially not as described, in which case we pay the return freight and refund the original shipping as well.
Commissioned work made to your brief is not returnable. Refunds are issued to the original PayPal payment within five working days of the returned work arriving with us.
7. Damage in transit
Report transit damage within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the packaging and the work. We will arrange a replacement where the artist can produce comparable work, or refund you in full including shipping — your choice.
8. Copyright
Buying a painting transfers ownership of the physical object. Copyright in the image stays with the artist. You may photograph and display the work in your own home or business; reproducing it commercially — prints, merchandise, packaging — requires the artist's written permission, which we are happy to ask for on your behalf.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Nothing here limits any statutory consumer right you have in your own country.
