Getting a painting from Bali to your wall
Everything ships from Denpasar with tracking and full-value insurance included. Orders over $3,000 ship free anywhere we deliver.
How the work is packed
Unframed canvases travel rolled. The painting comes off its stretcher, is interleaved with acid-free glassine, rolled paint-side out around a wide-diameter core and sealed into a rigid tube with plastic end caps. This is how galleries move canvases internationally — it is safer than shipping stretched, and far cheaper.
Framed and board-mounted work travels crated. The piece is corner-protected, wrapped, floated inside a foam-lined plywood crate and screwed shut. Crating costs more and weighs more, which is why framed pieces carry a higher shipping price.
We photograph every piece as it is packed and email you the pictures before it leaves, so there is a record of the condition it shipped in.
Rates and delivery times
Indicative prices for one 3 kg piece. Your exact cost is calculated at checkout from the actual packed weight, and additional pieces in the same order ship at a reduced rate.

Transit times are from dispatch, which is normally two working days after your order. They exclude any time a shipment spends in your country's customs.
Duties and import tax
Import duty, VAT, GST and any customs brokerage in the destination country are payable by you and are not included in the price at checkout. Original works of art are duty-free or reduced-rate in many countries — the UK, the EU and the US among them — but the rules change and we cannot advise on your specific situation. Shipments are declared honestly at the price paid.
Returns
If the painting is not right in the room, tell us within 14 days of delivery and send it back in its original packing. Once it arrives with us undamaged we refund the purchase price in full.
Return shipping is at your cost unless the piece arrived damaged or was not as described, in which case we cover it and refund the original shipping too. Please do not send anything back before contacting us — we will tell you how to repack it so it survives the trip.
Commissioned work is made to your brief and is not returnable, which is why we are careful about what we agree to take on.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the outer packaging before you open it fully, then the painting, and email us within 48 hours. Every shipment is insured for its full value. You get a replacement where the artist can make something comparable, or a full refund including shipping — your choice, not ours.
